Vet Jack Cunningham Battles A Corrupt Law Firm And The Powerful State Officials, Who Are Protecting Them: The Veteran's Evidence

Below is a picture of Webmaster Jack Cunningham and
his buddy George Dros in Vietnam. The two exhausted United States Marines are sitting at a Vietnamese family's
table in the Duc Duc Refugee Village, where they lived and served (24/7).
(The picture was
taken seven months, before the two-thousand-home refugee village was burned to ashes. Hundreds of civilians were
killed, wounded and reported missing.)
The corruption story on this webpage is Jack's
battle with the State of New Jersey.
The corruption is
centered around a law firm's legal malpractice and state politicians and state officials who protect this unscrupulous law
firm.

After being served papers, I hired the
law firm of Maynard & Truland of Morristown,
NJ to represent me in a divorce case. I had
been notified a few months before by the law firm’s partner, Joe Truland that the firm had hired a divorce attorney. (As a PTSD disabled veteran, I feared that my illness would be used against my rights to
joint-custody.)
I paid the agreed upon $750 retainer by check and signed the contract twenty-two (22) days
before I was to fall in a divorce default. The retainer check hit against my checking account six (6) days after I handed it to Maynard & Truland
partner Joe Truland on September 6, 2000.
Although my $750 retainer check was cashed immediately by the
Law Firm, Maynard & Truland listed my payment date as Nov 1, 2000 on their Invoices.
The
day of the signing, I asked Partner Joe Truland and his Divorce Attorney Edward Busichio to please not have me fall into divorce
default. (By falling into divorce default, I feared that I would lose my
joint-custody.) I begged so
many times not to have me fall in divorce default that Divorce Attorney Edward Busichio snapped at me that I was being irrational
and he knew how to do his job. Twenty-two (22) later,
I fell into divorce default, because Divorce Attorney Edward Busichio failed to file any papers with New Jersey Superior Court
and my former wife’s attorney. I was in a panic. After repeated phone calls were not returned by Divorce Attorney Busichio, I wrote my first letter to the
law firm.

Even after sending the above letter, I never received return letters
or phone calls from any member of the Maylarnd & Truland law firm. But I was receiving notices from Superior Court
and my former wife's attorney that I was in divorce default, because of my lack of answering the original divorce papers.
I was terrified of losing my custody rights for my two minor children.
It was so bad that this topic took up my complete PTSD therapy sessions with Veterans Affairs (VA) Doctor Lawrence Kolman.
(Well documented in formal VA medical records.)
I signed the Maynard & Truland contract on September 6, 2000. I fell into a divorce
default because of the law firm's divorce attorney Edward Busichio's gross negligence on September 28, 2000.
About the second week of November, I received the first communications from a Maynard & Truland
attorney. It was not from Edward Busichio or his supervising partner Joe Truland. The letter was from Robert
Correale, a general-practice attorney of the firm. Robert Correale letter notified me that he was working on my
divorce default removal.

I did not received any phone calls or written responses from any Maynard
& Truland employees on the above letter. I was still in Divorce Default due to Edward Busichio's gross negligence,
but nothing was being explained to me... Including how I fell into divorce default in the first place.
Because I was still in default and not receiving proper communications from
my own law firm, I was still terrified about losing my two minor children. This lack of attorney professionalism
was the complete topic at my VA therapy sessions with Doctor Lawrence Kolman. (It's well documented in my
VA medical records.)
I sent a third letter to the Maynard & Truland attorneys.
I still hadn't received phone calls or
return letters answering my questions about:
What happened
to my divorce attorney Edward Busichio...
Why was
I still in default, three months after signing the Maynard & Truland Contract and paying the agreed upon retainer...
Why was I in default in the
first place...
Why couldn't Maynard & Truland
admit to the Superior Court Family Division judge that Edward Busichio was negligent, so I would be released from default...
According to my official Veterans Affairs (VA) medical records,
it was about this time that I questioned Doctor Lawrence Kolman about my entering a VA in-hospital stress unit for 45 days. My
law firm Maynard & Truland's unprofessionalism was taking a major toll on me. I was already taking increased
doses for my VA prescribed medicines, because of it.
(My VA medical records are clear about this.)
I was desparate for answers. I started writing attorney groups and
was sent the address of my local New Jersey Supreme Court's Office of Attorney Ethics. It's the
Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics that is responsible for monitoring all attorney behavior in the State of New
Jersey. It's made up of all attorneys.
It was going on four (4) months into the Maynard & Truland contract
and I was still in divorce default. The real divorce work wasn't even started yet. General-practice attorney Robert
Correale was still working on default removal, but I was never notified by the law firm what happened to divorce attorney
Edward Busichio.
And now, general practice attorney Robert Correale started
billing me for Default Removal, even though it was due to Edward Busichio's negligence. And to make matters worse,
Robert Correale was charging me $25 more per hour than his law firm's contract stated. He wasn't even my
divorce attorney.)
The law firm knew that
I was PTSD disabled from the Vietnam War. I thought being PTSD disabled, I'd be treated with more understanding than what I was getting.
Maynard & Truland was a professional law firm that advertised their firm on the entire back cover of my local
telephone book. I could not understand why they would do this.
Robert Correale was over-charging
me for Busichio's negligence. I was afraid to learn what was next.
I needed Maynard & Truland to start acting like professional attorneys.
The stress was tremendous. (And it was all unnecessary.)

Yes, (Unknown to me
at the time) general-practice attorney Robert Correale of the Maynard & Truland law firm was the local Vice-Chairman
of New Jersey's Supreme Court's Office of Attorney Ethics. DISTRICT X
I sent a complaint letter about Robert Correale
and his Maynard & Truland law firm to the committee that he himself was second-in-command of... This
is a Major Conflict of Interest.
Looking back, it's easy to see why Maynard &
Truland's law partners switched my case (Without my permission) to general-practice attorney Robert Correale.
You could say Robert Correale, Esq. carried some sway in the New Jersey Supreme Court and Superior Court systems.
Robert Correale could do anything with my case and charge
me what he wanted for his law firm. Back before 9-11, who would believe a PTSD Vietnam veteran over the Vice Chairman
of New Jersey's Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics. If I filed a complaint through the Office of Attorney
Ethics, Correale didn't care. He was the vice-chairman of the committee.
BASED ON NEW JERSEY'S SUPREME COURT LAW,
I WAS FORCED TO GO THROUGH THE LOCAL ATTORNEY ETHICS COMMITTEE.
It explains why in spite of my letters and phone calls,
Robert Correale didn't start any work on default removal until sixty-nine (69) days into the Maynard & Truland contract.
(All the facts are found on the Maynard & Truland's own Invoices.)
When you are "King of the Legal Hill" nobody can touch you.
My above letter to New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics was clear.
I attached my letters that I had already sent Maynard & Truland, along with official Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
documents.
I already had an appointment lined up to be interviewed by the VA for entrance into a 45 day
in-hospital stay for exacerbated PTSD. I was looking for some stress relief from the Supreme Court of New Jersey's Office
of Attorney Ethics. (Again, this is all well-documented through VA medical records.)

Ms. Bonnie Frost's letter did not mention Robert Correale's
and District X's Conflict of Interest. The Conflict of Interest was finally
admitted to about two years later, after hundreds of my letters to the director of New Jersey's Supreme Court Office of Attorney
Ethics, Governor James McGreevey, his Attorney General, Congressman Scott Garrett and local New Jersey State politicians.
Please pass this webpage to your mailing
lists. I need all the help, I can get with this. It's going over a six year battle for me.
Thanks
After receiving New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics' letter, to say the
least, I was devastated and felt completely alone. I was looking forward for stress relief. I still had
my interview to be admitted to a VA hospital for 45 days on January 8, 2001.
Although Robert Correale called and informed that I was out of divorce
default, I received an official document from Superior Court that I was still in default and that I had a default court hearing
on January 9, 2001. I wanted to go to the hearing.
Again, the pressure forced me to write another letter. This
time, the letter was going to the Superior Court Family Division judge. I had to be released from the default,
even if I had to do it myself. My law firm was worthless. I felt that general-practice
attorney Robert Correale didn't know what he was doing in divorce cases and I still did not have any word about my divorce
attorney Edward Busichio. Maynard & Truland Partner Joe Truland, who I trusted in the beginning, completely removed
himself from all communications.
I was getting more communications from Superior Court and my
former wife's attorney than my own Law Firm Maynard & Truland.

I never received a response to my above letter to Superior Court Family
Division Judge Miniman. I attended my interview at the Montrose NY VA Hospital and was accepted into the 45 Day PTSD
Stress Program. But because I had been self-medicating myself with beer, I had to wait a month before I could
enter the hospital.
"This gets me angry to see the way how people are allowed
to treat others like this. That these things are allowed to happen and the people in power are not held accountable
for their bad behavior; They are above the law." Joan Walsh, Bronx, New York

Besides over-charging me per hour and charging me for default removal, one
of my favorite ethics violations of Robert Correale was the day of Divorce Arbitration in Sussex County Superior Court on
February 14, 2001. It is mentioned briefly above. Robert was a general-practice attorney and he gave me
the impression that he had not served on too many divorce cases. He came to the arbitration unprepared. I was
a nervous wreck, but I felt my joint-custody of my two minor children was at stake.
Whether this was one of Correale's first divorce arbitration court sessions,
it was unclear. However, it may have been his first by his reaction during arbitration. He sat silently
in his seat next to me as I was forced to defend himself.

A copy of the MAYNARD & TRULAND Law Firm's Invoice is below. Check
how much Robert Correale, Esq. charged John "Jack" Cunningham for sitting quietly next to him during divorce arbritation.
The date of the arbritation was Feb. 14, 2001.
A segment of Robert Correale's Law Firm's Contract is also below.
According to the Contract, Jack should have been charged $150 for the first ten (10) of representation. The Invoice
clearly charges $175.
The list of ethic violations continued...
VICE-CHAIRMAN WAS
STILL CHARGING JACK CUNNINGHAM AT THE $175 OVER-CHARGED RATE RATHER
THAN THE CONTRACTED RATE OF $150 PER HOUR.
PART OF MAYNARD & TRULAND'S INVOICE
On 2/14/2001, Jack Cunningham was charged $612.50 for the work completed
by general-practice attorney Robert Correale. Correale did the billing himself. The Vice-Chairman
of New Jersey Attorney Ethics probably listed his work that day as uncontested, because he spoke very little during
the arbitration.
(For Jack Cunningham it was not uncontested. For Jack, the custody
of his two minor children was at stake.)
CONTRACT
(The below
piece of MAYNARD & TRULAND's own Contract is found on top of page 2 of their 3 pages of contract.)

Looking back on the Maynard & Truland above Invoice, please
note the first day that Robert Correale started work on my case was November 14, 2000. That was the 69th day into the
Contract.. The date is well passed the default date of September 28, 2000. It is important to remember the
start date that Robert Correale himself posted for his Law Firm's Invoices, because Correale later lied to the NJ Supreme
Court Office of Attorney Ethics about when he started work. The Maynard & Truland Invoice more than speaks for itself.
Correale's work of Nov 14, 2000 was the first communications
I received from Maynard & Truland since the contract signing day on Septemeber 6, 2000.
In spite of all Robert Correale and his fellow Maynard & Truland lawyers'
ethics violations, I tried to move on with my life after the Divorce Arbitration.
The false billing and over-charging of
Robert Correale, the gross neligence of Edward Busichio, the complete lack of communications of Joe Truland, Robert Correale
and Edward Busichio were in the past. But I refused to give the Maynard & Truland law firm a penney more
than my orginal $750 retainer that the firm stole from me. I stopped all my communications with the New Jersey
Office of Attorney Ethics, because the law firm had burned me out so much...
My PTSD symptoms went back to levels prior to my dealing
with the corrupt law firm. My therapy discussions with Doctor Laurence Kolman centered around my daily life with occasional
references to how the Maynard & Truland law firm treated me. I no longer needed to be hospitalized in the 45 day
VA Hospital stress program.
But things changed right before Christmas 2002.
It started all over again, because of the unprofessionalism, greed and tremendous influence around the State of New
Jersey of the Maynard & Truland law firm.
Unknown to me at the time,
Robert Correale was still the Vice-Chairman of New Jersey's Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics. (Even
after hundreds of letters to state and federal politicians and officials, the State of New Jersey still refuses to
supply me the dates and positions that Robert Correale held within this extremely influential Supreme Court office.)

|
| UNDISPUTED FACTS |
I was forced to represent myself PRO
SE, because no New Jersey attorney wanted to take my case without big money up-front. What New Jersey lawyer would want to go against New Jersey's Supreme Court
Office of Attorney Ethics and one of their Vice-Chairman?
Although I was my sending letters to its
Director David Johnson, no one from New Jersey's Office of Attorney Ethics was returning my communications by phone
or letter.

As listed in my above Undisputed
Facts account of March 11, 2003.
Superior Court Judge Ronald
Graves, after reviewing my evidence and official Federal Veterans Affairs Medical Records, determined that my legal malpractice
charges against Robert Correale and his law firm warranted the Law Division for damages.
I brought my civil case to
the New Jersey Superior Court Law Division in Sussex County. The Honorable Karen Russell was the judge.
Robert Correale and his law firm, Maynard & Truland continued to play their games and harass my PTSD Disability.
My below letter to Superior Court Judge Karen
Russell clearly highlights:
-
The merit of my legal-malpractice case as per Judge Ronald Graves Court decision. (Judge Russell and Judge Graves
worked together in the same, small courthouse in Sussex County, NJ. Which was under Vice-Chairman Robert Correale's Attorney Ethics District.)
-
Robert Correale's harassment and it's impact on my disability.
-
Robert Correale's and his fellow attorneys at Maynard & Truland's perjury to New Jersey's Supreme Court in my case in
the Office of Attorney Ethics.

As listed in my above Undisputed Facts account of March 11,
2003 and my above letter to Superior Court Judge Karen Russell.
Superior Court Judge Ronald Graves, after reviewing my evidence and official Federal Veterans Affairs
Medical Records, determined that my legal malpractice charges against Robert Correale and his law firm warranted the Law Division
for damages, BUT the court transcript went mysterously missing before it could be typed by the court clerk. Because
Judge Ronald Graves' court transcript went missing and I could not use it in the Superior Court, my civil case was thrown
out because of a lack of merit.
I immediately brought my civil case to the New Jersey Superior
Court Appellate Division in our state capital in Trenton. Again, I was forced again to represent myself
PRO SE, because no New Jersey attorney wanted to take my case without big money up-front.
The New Jersey State Appellate judges sided with Judge Karen
Russell of the Superior Court Law Division and my civil case against Correale and his law firm was again thrown out for lack
of merit. The Appellate Division placed a GAG ORDER on me
not to release their findings to the public.
But I continued to fight my letter and phone call battle with Robert Correale and Maynard & Truland through
New Jersey's Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics.

After receiving the above letter from a senior official in New Jersey's
Supreme Court Office of Attorney Ethics, I was again devasted. I felt so
alone. But I had to continue to fight back. (I was having severe intrinsic thoughts about what happened
on July 17, 1970. I had to continue to fight. I could not surrender...
I felt I was fighting
for more than just myself. If the New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics could do this to a veteran, they could do it
to any citizen in the state. It could also be happening across the nation in other states. Many lawyers
get away with anything!
If I stopped corrupt
lawyers in New Jersey, maybe things would improve around the nation.)
I sent the below letter out to so many federal and state politicians, government officials and
agencies, I could not list the Cc:s on the letter.

Finally, a letter came from the New Jersey Supreme Court's Office of Attorney
Ethics. It was going to be a major battle for me every inch of the way. The
Office of Attorney Ethics wanted me to give up and go away.
They knew all along, who Robert Correale was. Each of my letters stated
his law firm Maynard & Truland also...

Here it is December 2006 and the State of New Jersey still refuses to answer
my questions in the above letter. Although New Jersey's
Governor Jon Corzine has been brought completely up to date with this cover-up within his state govenment, his office refuses
to return my letters or return my phone calls. If someone other than I calls his office, he or she plays dumb to who
John "Jack" Cunningham is.
Federal Senators Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez, along with Congressman
Scott Garrett are also completley up to date on the status of the continued cover-up. Yet these three federal politicians
refuse to give support to this disabled PTSD veteran.
The question WHY could only be answered
by them.
Please phone Office of Attorney
Ethics Director David Johnson and tell him what you think. Maybe, he'll return your phone calls. He does
not return my calls, yet he works in the New Jersey Supreme Cout.
Director
Johnson's phone number is 609-530-4008.
Tell
Director Johnson what you think about his Cover-Up protecting his former Vice-Chairman Robert Correale and his Law Firm, Maynard
& Truland.
I can sure use some help calling Senator Robert Menendez (Debbie Curto 973-645-3192), Senator Frank Lautenberg
(Jen Mroczek 973-639-8700) and Governor Jon Corzine (Susan Prickett 609-777-2463, Susan Senft 609-777-2645). They will all play dumb, especially Governor Corzine's office. This is in spite of eight letters
to Corzine's office (Many Certified mail) and over thirty emails and numerous phone calls.
Below is a recent note from someone
who called his office.
I made the call to Corzine's office Re: Jack Cunningham.
I first got some guy, who passed me on to some woman. They all played dumb like they had no idea
of what I was calling about. And for whatever reasons, they do not supply their names.
Take Care, Merry Christmas.
Jimmy
I just want the State of New Jersey and
Department of Justice (DOJ) to start investigations on my civil rights and corruption charges, and clear evidence.
THERE IS STILL
PLENTY MORE EVIDENCE TO COME.
It's December 2006 and I still have not received
my Due Process from the State of New Jersey. Now, the cover-up is to the highest levels of New Jersey State Government
and yet, the federal government completely knows about my battle and continues to force me to deal with New Jersey alone.
I will continue to add details and supporting evidence to this webpage over the
next few days. It gets much more interesting, frustating and criminal...
Please note that the federal Attorney General,
Department of Justice (DOJ), New Jersey Superior Court, New Jersey SUPREME COURT, New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine, his Attorney
General, federal Senators Frank Lautenberg and Robert Menendez and federal Congressman Scott Garrett all have this evidence.
Please pass this webpage to your mailing
lists. I need all the help, I can get with this. It's going over a six year battle for me.
Thanks
